ABOUT THE ARTIST
VOØGE The French word "vogue," meaning "fashion" or "trend," has been adopted into languages like Italian and English. Its influence is widespread, from the iconic fashion magazine *Vogue* to the dance style "voguing," inspired by the dramatic poses of its models. The name also graces various brands, including sunglasses and a tobacco product, as well as a moped model by Peugeot Motorcycles. Musically, it's known as the title of Madonna's 1990 hit single and Ayumi Hamasaki's 2000 single. "VOØGE" also refers to a visual kei rock band formed by CHIKA, formerly of Majestic Isabelle. Beyond entertainment, VOGUE is the name of an aesthetics salon run by Broad Enterprise, and the pen name of an adult game artist and illustrator. In publishing, Nippon Vogue, a company specializing in handicraft magazines, materials, and educational courses through Vogue Gakuen, also bears the name. Historically, "Vogue" was also the name of a French record label.
